Amnesia memories - After game thoughts

I know, I know... I should have posted this a few months ago, but I was busy playing other games. Shhh... Let's start at the very beginning.

A brief year ago, I was still on my mobile otome game and didn't quite know about the shady world of Nintendo games. I mean... 2D guys, a couple of photos, a few bg music and a good story. I didn't think highly of the industry. Even when I bought Amnesia back in November, I thought of it as some cheap game. I'll get myself through while I'm bored as I usually do around winter afternoons.

Soon after starting the game, I knew, it was a grave mistake to underestimate the game, because I loved the story dearly. As usual, I planned to get the game and play Shin's route. He is the cover boy, and I liked his looks. After playing Shin, the game drew me in and I naturally played all the other routes one by one without getting bored of the game or the guys. And in the end, I was thrilled, because I got this amazing game on a Steam discount for less than 4 pounds.

To be quick and spoiler free, the game is about a young girl, who happens to lose her memories without a cause and starts seeing a very kind and friendly ghost, who's willing to help her get her memories back in order to get himself separated again.

It is a multiple-dimensional game. Every love interest has his own world and the heroine's memories always belong to the actual world. Before the girl (US) wakes up, we can choose the world to wake up in. The worlds are marked with the French card's motives, so we shouldn't know which world is which world until someone starts an interaction with us in a world.

Orion, our spirit companion warns us that there could be bad people who exploit our amnesia, so we have to keep it secret as long as we can trust someone enough to tell them. We can actually reach a point when we talk about even Orion. Isn't it sound quite crazy?

There are also gauges to tell the levels of trust, affection and suspicion. Our job is to rise trust and affection and to keep suspicion low. Also, there is a doubt gauge in one of the routes, and I missed it from another route too. It was a shame, that we didn't have it.

The end of the game then finally gives an explanation of everything that happened in the game. Some never liked it and others did. As far as I've seen other otome gamers, not much of them had it as a favourite from who I know from Instagram, but I hope there are others like me. It was an exciting game from the start, and I even fell in love with the biggest red flag in the game. Actually, I think, from all the otome red flags, he is the one who I really understood. And probably that is why I never felt like he was a red flag.

The game has a few mini-games built in and a few stories from the love interests point of view. I really recommend clearing them. They aren't only to unlock the achievements but they are also really good. I liked especially Shin's story.

As most of you might already know, this is how I bought my first Nintendo. I was browsing the internet, reading all the reviews on the blogs, and I found new photos of the game. This led me to a blog stating facts about the fan disc. I was pretty lucky because the English translation just came out last year as far as I know, so I was just in time to get it at the highest price from the USA. I bought a Nintendo switch lite because it's cute enough and I planned to sell it after playing this one game!! (but since then I've spent a fortune on other otome games, and instead of selling it, I'll play it until rotten)

I'll make sure to post a few spoiler-rich route discussions for those who already finished the game. I hope I'll get a few comments on what you thought of the game and the characters.

Keep safe and play as much as you can!
